Dan joins the executive team reporting directly to Husayn Kassai, CEO and co-founder of Onfido.
“Dan is a recognised leader in the technology industry having experience in both startups and large companies, as well as an entrepreneur, in Silicon Valley, Seattle, and Europe,” said Kassai. “His passion for using technology to solve challenging business problems along with his entrepreneurial background, makes him the ideal candidate for the role as we shape the future of real identity."
Over the last three years, Dan served Onfido as a technology advisor. Most recently, Dan was the CTO of Criteo (Europe’s first B2B Unicorn), helping drive tremendous growth – seeing the company go public and increasing revenue by six-fold in just six years. He spent two years at Google setting up its Paris Development Center and six years at Microsoft. Dan co-founded two companies and sold one to Microsoft in 2002.
“The digital identity market has exploded in terms of importance to both the business and security impact to organisations,” said Dan. “Over the last three years having had the opportunity to work with Onfido as a technical advisor, I was super-impressed with the vision and impact in enabling organisations and users in a remote world. I am excited to join the company and help take its impressive team and culture to the next level.”
