It’s the darker side of AI that makes headlines, stories of fraudsters harnessing AI capabilities for their malicious schemes. AI-powered fraud, such as deepfakes of famous celebrities or executives, can often leave you wondering just how secure our digital world really is.

While that is true, there are also extraordinary ways that AI is used to combat fraud and deception. So, is AI a friend or a foe when it comes to fraud?

At its simplest, AI is about building systems that can be much faster and much more accurate than humans using advanced mathematics and large pools of data.

AI’s role in the detection of fraud seems simple: it's about finding fraud in the financial world among the gigantic pool of data, spotting fraud attempts that humans wouldn't be able to.

Join Joe in the Fraud Lab video series to discover how AI is:

  • Becoming a real game changer in the fight against fraud (with a live demo)
  • Revolutionizing business operations, enhancing security, and protecting us from fraudsters
  • Guided by bias mitigation to ensure that it serves all humanity fairly and equitably
  • A transformative force that alters the way we live and work.

In the future, we expect even more realistic generative AI attacks like the one shared here. The first and the last name are not very realistic, and that’s what the system was able to catch. But we expect this kind of attack to get better and better over time.
